Members of the Commons Cluster have focussed on supplying alternative financing mechanisms, including drawing attention to the collaborative economy based largely on a commons approach; cooperatives that give back to the communities in which they are active, as well as to development projects at the global level; and alternative tax approaches.

Partnership

Recently, the Commons Cluster has founded a partnership together with John F. Kennedy University, the Institute for Planetary Synthesis a partnerhsip to integrate Nature into the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. This partnership is important because of the diverse approaches adopted by both the present members and also those who are pending. They intend to write monthly reports and get these to the relevant departments of national governments that can use them.
